How to Become a High School Equivalency Testing Center

The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) has authorized TEA to contract with GED Testing Service to provide the GED test for individuals to earn the Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE). Tests may only be administered by TEA-authorized testing centers under Texas Administrative Code Ìý Official Testing Centers.Ìý

NOTE:ÌýEducational Testing Service (ETS)Ìýnotified TEA and the SBOE that they would not administer the HiSET test in Texas after 8/31/2021. The last day to take a HiSET test in Texas was 8/31/2021.Ìý
